Alabama's Career Readiness Certificate serves as
a common language between employers, job
seekers
and educators. It is a portable skills credential, assuring employers
that a job applicant has the basic skills they seek. The Career Readiness Certificate (CRC) is an
assessment-based credential based on ACT's WorkKeys that gives employers
and career seekers a uniform measure
of key workplace skills.
There are 3 levels an
individual may earn: bronze, silver and gold.

Bronze Level- Core employability skills for approximately 30% of the jobs
Silver Level
- Core employability skills for approximately 65% of the jobs
Gold Level- Core employability skills for approximately 90% of the jobs
