Over 9800 Career Readiness Certificates Have Been Earned!     Do You Have Yours?

Getting a Career Readiness Certificate allows you to show prospective (and current) employers that you possess the basic skills they are looking for. Even if you have a high school diploma, GED, or a post-secondary degree, the CRC further verifies that you can handle the kinds of tasks - finding information, reading instructions and directions, and working with figures - that are common in today's workplace.

If improvement is needed in specific areas, the Career Ready Alabama program will help fill your skills gaps. For more information, please visit or call your nearest One Stop Career Center, WorkKeys Testing Center, or Adult Education Program.

For more information, watch a 3 minute DVD. (You will need Windows Media Player).

James Flowers, the 1st recipient of an Alabama Career Readiness Certificate, had this to say. "The CRC was a good thing to show employers when I was applying for jobs. Because the skills are identified on the back of the certificate, it lets employers know my 'level of intelligence'. It gives them a description of what I can do. It actually helped me get two jobs. The first job was with the Wal-Mart Distribution Center. I had to quit that job due to a leg injury. Now I have a job with Lee County Solid Waste as a mechanic. I definitely think that having the CRC helped me get these jobs."
